Garmin's Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT™) creates a visual topographic landscape from the G1000 system's terrain warning database, providing situational awareness orientation.
G1000 seamlessly integrates terrain and navigation databases to provide a clear, concise picture of where you are and where you are headed. A Jeppesen® database supports on-screen navigation, communication and mapping functions. For safer approaches and departures, you can overlay your aircraft's position on the electronic approach chart with optional ChartView™ - available through Jeppesen's JeppView™ subscription service - to provide visual cross-checking. Using information from the integrated terrain, U.S. and Canadian obstacle database, G1000 displays color coding to graphically alert you when proximity conflicts are apparent. In addition, you can augment G1000 with the optional Class B Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS) for an added airborne safety benefit.
DA42 NG-VI - the ideal MEP trainer
The IR rating is not only an additional safety benefit in everyday flying life, but also a prerequisite for many other training courses.
The Instrument Rating (IR) is an additional rating to the license (PPL or CPL) and entitles you to fly an aircraft according to Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). The instrument rating therefore gives you more possibilities to perform a flight safely even in less than optimal weather conditions.
With our DA42 NG-VI you can acquire the MEP VFR rating as well as the MEP IR rating.
